I attended the Chicago Red Stars inaugural NWSL match this past Sunday at Benedictine University vs Seattle Reign FC, which ended in a 1-1 draw with goals from Christine Nairn (10’ - SRFC) and Lori Chalupny (19’ CRS).

I cannot wait to see more of this team (CRS), especially when their German internationals are here to play.

Been playing soccer again. Hate the cold but glad to be playing again. Have the hugest bruise of my life on the inside of my thigh from my game on Monday. Who the hell knows how soccer playing turned into a ninja event?!

Our US Men are taking on Mexico in t-minus 10 minutes. Best of luck to them. Fingers crossed for a goal from Altidore.

What were we doing last weekend, you ask? Well, Smash was cheering on her FC Dallas boys at home in Dallas with her girls, and Julie and I were bundled up in Chicago trying to bear the cold weather and terrible soccer being played by Chicago Fire - at least the tifo by Section 8 Chicago was off the hook.

Losses & sadfaces. Hoping this weekend is better for our teams. MLS weekend #3 of 2013 is upon us - happy soccer watching.
