One year ago yesterday, my late father was inducted into the Chicago Fire’s Wall of Honor. Thanks to the Fire for helping create such a wonderful memory of my dad and for all those who supported us through it. A red heart can never be broken. ♥

I am writing to let everyone know that the Chicago Fire will be honoring our dad/husband this year by inducting him onto their Wall of Honor. Naturally, the three of us are truly appreciative of this honor. As you know, the Fire has been a huge part of our lives for several years now, and at times Toyota Park seems empty now without our dad their, even with 20,000 fans filling the stadium. This tribute to our father/husband will hopefully help fill a void that is missing in our lives, though we know it will never replace all the memories we’ve shared with him over the years.  -nikhak

The Hack Girls

My dad was inducted onto the Chicago Fire’s Wall of Honor this last weekend, though bittersweet it was a truly exciting moment for my family - even behind the tears there was a feeling of happiness. 

My dad joins two of my very dear and missed friends, Brandon and Dan on the wall, along with Euan, a 9 year old boy, who was also inducted onto the wall last Saturday.  So many important, inspirational gentlemen…
