Taylor laid down his art shortly after Memorial Day as a way of honoring the soldiers who have come out. “I thought what is great with Obama is what he had to say about the first openly gay soldiers setting the tone for future soldiers,” Taylor says from his New York City abode. “And yet he reflected on the past, about the soldiers who weren’t able to come out.” The Navy Pier artwork exists to pay tribute to both groups, says Taylor.

Nearly 59,000 soccer fans filled this stadium today and @section8chicago made up appx 65 of them. (Taken with Instagram at Centre Sportif du Stade Olympique)

Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for all of my wonderful friends & family.

This huge wall (a peace elephant and dove) is the largest Shepard Fairey has ever done - 70ft X 106ft; it took 6 days to complete during July. It’s going to be featured in the November issue of Vanity Fair, and at the artinthestreets website.

Man! I still have my charm necklace exactly like this one from when I was a little girl (ya know, way back in the 80s).  I thought about selling it on craig’s list, ebay or something, but I don’t know how much it would even be worth.
